This gearbox enables the simple connection of drylin® shafts to the output side of the gearbox via the built-in coupling. The worm gearbox can therefore be used as a cost-effective angular gearbox. Shafts with a diameter of 8 mm can be connected as standard. Other diameters up to max. 12mm are also possible on request.
The version with position indicator, manual clamping and handwheel is used as a compact, manual drive unit for synchronizing several Apiro® rack and pinion gearboxes. Applications are mainly found as format adjustment in the packaging industry.
At igus®, Apiro® stands for cost-effective worm gears and flexible, customized solutions. The modular gearbox system offers a wide product range based on the combination of various designs on the drive and output of the gearboxes, different ratios and a wide range of accessories. In addition to worm gearboxes, bevel gearboxes and linear gearboxes are also available in the modular gearbox system.
A modular design and the simple connection of individual components allow the cost-effective solution of an infinite number of applications. Hence the name: “Apiro” is the Greek word for “infinite”.
Apiro® can also be used to implement special solutions quickly and cost-effectively.
