iglidur® R | Low-cost material, low coefficients of friction

In the development of iglidur® R, the focus was on high performance and a very low price. In particular, low friction and wear values were to be achieved in dry running. Components made of iglidur® R are specifically supported by a combination of solid lubricants. The PTFE and silicone-free material achieves outstandingly low friction values in dry running and runs largely stick-slip-free.

When do I use it?

• When high wear resistance at low loads is required
• When a very inexpensive material is required
• When very low coefficients of friction are required in dry running
• When edge loads occur
• When low moisture absorption is desired
• When PTFE or silicone are not approved for the application

When should I not use it?

• When high pressure loads occur
• When temperatures are permanently higher than +90 °C
• When the best possible wear resistance is required
