The online service provides structured and reliable transparency about the condition, utilisation and maintenance requirements of e-chain systems®. On this basis, well-founded decisions can be made – for maintenance, repairs and replacement, tailored to the respective application and the actual system status.
The core of superwise is a continuous condition assessment over the entire life cycle of an e-chain system.
Depending on the service level used, this assessment is based on known application parameters, usage-dependent data and optionally on sensor data from ongoing operations.

Relevant changes are categorised on the basis of the condition and usage development and transferred into a clear context for action. If maintenance work is due, if there are recognisable deviations in operating behaviour or if the recommended service life has been reached, information is provided at an early stage with specific recommendations on how to proceed.
For the operator, this means that measures are not triggered reactively or across the board, but in a targeted, data-based manner and at a technically and economically sensible time. The internal assessment and coordination effort is reduced, while at the same time planning reliability and decision-making clarity increase – without the need for a detailed technical analysis of the e-chain systems®.
How detailed these recommendations are depends on the chosen superwise service level and the desired degree of integration.
Not every application requires the same level of monitoring or integration. superwise can be used for all igus® e-chain systems® – for both short and long travels – and is flexibly scalable. The service ranges from structured entry level without sensor technology to comprehensive online condition monitoring with high data resolution and customised system integration.
The result is precisely the solution that suits the respective application – as things stand and with the option of expanding the scope of services if requirements change.

superwise Basic provides a structured introduction to plannable maintenance. The risk-free service life of the e-chain system® is derived on the basis of known application parameters and igus® empirical values. Maintenance and replacements can be scheduled based on time – without an online connection and without additional sensors.
superwise Basic evaluates e-chain systems® on the basis of known operating conditions and the igus® test and empirical values. Time-controlled maintenance and replacement instructions are derived from this. Operators are informed in good time before the recommended service life is reached.
The service is suitable for applications with stable motion profiles and clear boundary conditions. It enables structured maintenance planning without additional hardware and can be extended to higher service levels if required.

superwise Silver extends planning reliability to include utilisation and status-related information. Sensors record relevant loads during operation, which are transmitted cyclically to the superwise portal. Deviations are recognised at an early stage and translated into specific maintenance and replacement instructions.
In superwise Silver, i.Sense sensor technology monitors the e-chain system®, for example push/pull forces or breakage events. A daily status log is transmitted to the superwise portal; relevant events are also reported immediately.
The usage and condition-related data enable a more precise assessment of the actual load profile. Changes during operations are recognised at an early stage and can be assessed before the function is restricted. Data transmission takes place independently of the customer's IT infrastructure via the ComBox.

superwise Gold enables continuous online condition assessment based on high-resolution sensor data. Changes in operating behaviour become visible in real time, and maintenance and replacement decisions can be made precisely and with foresight. The connection is made flexibly via mobile communications or existing infrastructure.
superwise Gold continuously transmits sensor data to the superwise portal in high temporal resolution. Conditions, loads and service life parameters are continuously recorded and analysed.
This allows condition developments to be tracked over the entire life cycle. Deviations in the load profile become visible at an early stage, and service life sensors are incorporated directly into the calculation of the risk-free service life. Maintenance and replacement decisions can be planned precisely.

superwise Platinum is aimed at applications with the highest demands on integration and data availability. Status and utilisation information is individually integrated into existing IT and OT structures. Maintenance and replacements are fully integrated into higher-level systems and processes – for a consistent, data-based maintenance strategy.
superwise Platinum enables project-specific integration into existing IT and OT systems. Sensor data is transmitted via a defined return channel and can be integrated into systems such as MES, ERP or maintenance software.
Status assessments and recommendations flow directly into existing processes. Maintenance and replacement measures can be controlled and documented in a structured manner. The service level is suitable for complex systems and applications with high integration and traceability requirements.

superwise starts with a simple idea: A system should not only receive attention when something goes wrong. This is why even the free Basic package is based on active action – without sensors, solely on the basis of customer data from project planning and the igus service life calculator. As soon as the theoretically risk-free service life is reached, igus gets in touch automatically and recommends a suitable retrofit.
The higher packages – Silver, Gold and Platinum – expand this logic step by step: from precise sensor technology and comprehensive real-time data through to a fully integrated, customised system landscape. In each case, superwise remains proactive and contacts the operator exactly when it makes sense to take action.
"Service Care" forms the operational framework for this technical foundation. The package is free of charge and ensures that igus automatically informs the operator as soon as the recommended remaining service life is reached. Without any effort on the part of the customer, a clear message is created at the optimum time – proactively instead of reactively.
"Service Care Plus" extends this basic principle to include all inspection operation by the igus supervising team, including travel. These operations are not carried out randomly or on demand, but are based on data via the smart plastics sensor system. The result is predictable, professional monitoring that recognises problems at an early stage and acts promptly.
"Service Care Complete" supplements the Plus package with all typical minor repairs that inevitably occur in real plant operations. For operators, this means fewer operational surprises, less coordination effort and a clear focus on ongoing operations, while igus takes care of the rest.
Finally, "Service Care All-In" takes the last step and turns plannable maintenance into a genuine flat rate. For a defined period of time, igus assumes full cost responsibility for maintenance, repairs, materials and risk.
