All bar stock is manufactured from our proven iglidur materials, which are specially developed for moving applications. Our materials are self-lubricating and characterised by a very low coefficient of friction and excellent wear resistance. Each material's specifications make it a specialist for a particular area of application. Hence, there are iglidur materials and bar stock suitable for almost every application, including those involving high temperatures and seawater, from the food sector to the automotive industry.
We produce our bar stock in accordance with
DIN EN 15860. This regulation defines the requirements and test methods for essential characteristics (e.g. thickness, width and length of plates, round bar diameter and length, permitted deflections of the bar stock) for bar stock made of thermoplastic polymers for machining.

iglidur tribotapes are tribologically optimised liners and can be used in a wide variety of applications. Like all iglidur products, the liners are also made from our proven iglidur materials. They can show their strengths wherever low coefficients of friction and high wear resistance are required. iglidur tribotape can be easily cut to size and installed with the optional adhesive back.

Our test laboratory
Our materials are tested for friction and wear in our 3,800m² in-house igus test laboratory. Over 15,000 tests are carried out every year. This allows us to continuously generate data on the durability of our products, which we simulate in your application.
