Order the sample box with products and further information about our drylin® W linear modular kit. The box contains profile rails, a carriage and linear housings, different liners, a trapezoidal spindle with lead screw nut and a drive wheel with toothed belt.
This aircraft uses numerous iglidur plain bearings, which impress by their very low weight. Metallic bearings are out of the question as weight plays a major role in the air. Rotors and rudders have been equipped with lubrication-free bearings.
In this glider, various cables for control instruments are ideally guided by an energy chain. Despite the small installation space, the e-chain offers space for further cables. A great advantage is the opening system of the chain, by which individual cables can be easily replaced.
Hydraulic work platforms in a hangar for an Airbus 380 have been fitted with igus e-chains. The problem is the high altitude, which makes the supply of energy and compressed air difficult. The energy chains in zig-zag shape remedy the situation and work safely over the entire travel.
Before igus products were used in this application, hoses and cables were used without guidance on the vehicle. Energy chains, control cables and pneumatic hoses were used in order to approach the aircraft to be refuelled.
